[WiP] Autumnal Pack​

​

Just changed the colours of the Trees and Grass to make them suit the season better, I know that not many pine trees turn orange in the autumn but maybe I could edit the tree tops to make them look more like Birch trees in the future and after a bit more practice at spriting.​

I think you should edit the tree bark and them silver birch trees! And if you want to take it to the next level; colour the background vegetation. I could use a nice change of scenery, :) double thumbs up bro mac users unite!

edit: btw the weird looking trees that u dont see ingame aren't included in the game anymore :P

 

We`re going to need to also have the winter pack on hold, ready to go. You won`t even realise how fast the winter will come.

 

The trees look really good. Good work!

 

By the way, is there anyway you could also make the grass look rusty like the trees? That would make the pack perfect.

I tried editing the background but it would just crash Pixen.
Also, when you say weird looking trees do you mean the tree1.png? I just assumed they were falling leaves.

There's quite a lot of Winter packs out there but this could be arranged

So make the grass the same colour as the trees?

 

Pixen doesnt sound like a very good program, i use this http://pyxeledit.com (free) which works on mac. You should leave the colour of the grass, you changed it so that its fainter and it fits the fall scene. If you can use pyxeledit try gimp (free).

 

I just tried Gimp and it let me edit one of the backgrounds which came out kinda nice using the colour exchanging tool, it's not the best for pixel art though so i'll give Pyxeledit a try, thanks ;)

You should make the grass with leaves.

 

I was thinking of adding leaf litter if that's what you mean, but it might look a bit odd if it's just out in the open, maybe I could add leaves to the base of the tree somehow :o

 

Yes. That`s what I meant, make the grass like like the tress in terms of color. :)
