Windows Most Recent Update Has Broken Standalone Launcher

Since I am in school, I cannot use steam to launch KAG.

I also cannot download it and install it because of the school's security protocol.

I bring it in on a flash drive and run it off of that. This has worked for about a year now, and this is the first problem with it.

When I start the game and try to read the cmd, it flys by too fast for me to read the error.

I then launched the debugger and this is what popped up:

Loading library...
Using file 'Base/../Juxta.dll'
Library loaded...
LoadLibrary ERROR: 5

Could not load game module Base/../Juxta.dll (errno 5)

Any help is useful.

 

I did a quick file search and it seems Juxta.dll is completely missing and force-update does not add the file.

Edit: I found it, it wasn't placed in the correct file location.

Does anyone have the full directory path for me to place it in?

Still broken. I have tried everything on my end. Still waiting for help.

 

Not on a machine with the latest build, but looks to me like juxta.dll is to be located in the root-folder called "King Arthurs Gold".

Good luck with getting it to run.

 

It seems that the file itself is broken then and the forceupdate is not updating it.

Just downloaded it directly from the file download link http://update.kag2d.com/1/win32-client-release/Juxta.dll

Replaced "broken file".

Still doesn't work.

Guess I can't play kag at school anymore.

 

Where did you place KAG folder? Maybe it's in a locked folder

 

Standalone works completely nice. +1 for standalone kag tho.

 

Standalone works just fine for me. I propose you re-download and update KAG, then zip and take to school. (Not condoning playing KAG at school.)
