    yesterday, I tried to make a castle.
    I failed, but I did find this:
    :castle_wall::castle_wall::castle_wall:
    :quarters::blank::quarters:
    :quarters::quarters::quarters:
    :quarters::quarters::quarters:

    :castle_wall: random block, as long as it crushes, its fine.
    :quarters: workshop block.
    :blank: EMPTY SPACE. VERY IMPORTANT.

    You must all think, this isn't a trap.
    I agree, it looks like an unfinished workshop.
    But, what happens if we finish the workshop?

    This.
    :castle_wall::castle_wall::castle_wall:
    :quarters::quarters::quarters:
    :quarters::quarters::quarters:
    :quarters::quarters::quarters:
    This, however, is a finished workshop.
    And, as some may already know, you can't place any blocks on top of a finished workshop.
    Does everyone see what that means?
    Yup:
    :down:
    :castle_wall::castle_wall::castle_wall:
    :eek:

    This trap must have worked ever since workshops existed, because you never could place anything on top of them, And I think it'll not change anytime soon, so I didn't bother to check the build number.

    This can be used by griefers, or by trappers, I don't care what happens, so be careful :D

    Interesting novel idea but it seems... well I just quickly tried it out in sandbox and the problem is that you can use this trap only once because afterwards you got a workshop there and your team can't destroy it.

    Can't really think how this can be usefully implemented in a real game. Huge drawback and the only advantage over other traps is that it doesn't look like one so I might have actually fallen for it... that is before I read your post :)

    Well I guess you can fool some with it at least once ^^

    But damn you I bet I'll be squashed by one of these by a griefer in fron of my own tent.

    I know!
    This trap isn't exactly made for trapping enemies rather than friends :D

    As I already said, I don't care about who uses it, and who is the victim,
    I just love the fact that whenever someone falls for it, they usually shout griefer for 10 minutes.

    I mean, I once put this one in a mountain, (server had noob maps, no background walls) and when the enemy dug through, they started a base. what happens: one builder kills every knight and two builders from his own team!

    it can be used for strategic purposes too.
    for example: that builder got kicked less than ten seconds after he collapsed the blocks on his own team... :oops:

    again, I dont care. =)

    Nice, I like it!

    Still, I'm not a big fan of collapse traps cause of all the wasted resources. On the other hand it's fun :)

    Good idea. Though dont go around putting your whole structure on this one workshop.

    this one's different:
    usually, enemies move half of their team forward before reinforcing.
    imagine their entire team having captured your "base", using the :bird: emoticon, not even realising they are about to trigger your evil trap and die...
    Muehehehehe...

  11. Step 1. Entomb yourself on the surface more or less on the enemies' half of the map.
    Step 2. Make a small tunnel with room to put the workshop stuff and blocks down.
    Step 3. Wait for distracted knights with nothing better to do flush you out.
    Step 4. Die like a innocent builder.
    Step 5. Watch enemy builder complete workshop.
    CONGRATZ YOU JUST ORGASMED WITH GLEE! :D

    then don't create entire castles on top of it.
    this trap takes three blocks of stone,
    and not even twenty wood,
    to work.

    Imagine someone making the base at the flag with this to grief. It would completely turn things around. (But I doubt no one would would be that stupid)

    Your team can: the enemy is supposed to finish the thing.
    heh, you'll even make money out of this thing.
    Trick them into finishing your workshops, then destroy it. :P
